Google Maps with KQED QUEST -January 31, 2012
Online, maps can connect students to their local communities and environments while teaching and reinforcing science content standards and 21st century skills. Join KQED and QUEST Education for a hands-on session about creating media-rich, interactive maps using free tools from Google. Discover the multitude of educational resources available from QUEST--KQED's local science, nature and environment series--while you learn how to make a basic map that incorporates text, photos and video. You will also find out how to publish your maps and embed them in a website or blog. Time will be allotted for discussing ideas about integrating map-making into your curriculum.
